BLUE

I've been in the worst mood today. A man passed me in the street and said, "Cheer up darlin'". Yes, it's never good when you're walking down the street frowning, but um, how about LEAVE ME ALONE STRANGER. And yes, I think I have anger management issues...

ARGH.

HUCKLEBERRY FRIEND

I have probably watched Breakfast at Tiffany's about 50 times since I first saw it at the age of seven-ish. I'm not saying this is a good thing, especially since it means I will have spent just over 90 hours of my life watching it (Ok, that's actually bad...and quite lame), but it is probably my favourite film. I mean Audrey is just heaven, it's set in New York, it was made during one of the most chic eras of fashion ever, George Peppard is in it (enough said), Cat the cat is the only cat I like,  and Moon River is hauntingly beautiful and makes me cry. I cannot watch it enough. Here are some of my favourite looks/scenes:

Whilst watching Breakfast at Tiffany's last night, me and my friend noticed a definite similarity between Audrey Hepburn and Olivia Palermo. If Holly Golightly was around in the 21st century, I imagine she'd dress just like Olivia.

BLACK SWAN

For the past few months, it seems as though there has been absolutely nada on at the cinema. A few crappy "comedies" and a huge amount of horror films, neither of which I am really interested in. However, having just watched the trailer for Black Swan, my faith in the film industry has been restored. Both sinister and beautiful at the same time, it makes sense that the Rodarte girls designed the costumes. Their clothes perfectly combine an ethereal prettiness with an undeniable edge. Laura Mulleavy, one half of the design duo said, "the end project was breathtaking." From these images, it seems she is right:

Black Swan comes out in the UK on 21st January 2011.

DIAMONDS IN THE DARK

A few days ago, I strolled up New Bond Street at night. Despite the hundreds of people milling around and the freezing temperatures, I wandered slowly up the street, gazing into the windows of Cartier, Tiffany's and Asprey. It was only then that I felt the first excitements of Christmas. Because, let's face it, nothing says Christmas like the shimmer of freshly fallen snow, and the sparkle of expensive diamonds....
