IN THE COUNTRY

As much as I love cities, I'm a country girl at heart and I miss stomping through fields and woods in the rain with my dogs, fresh air and coming home to my mamma's roast lunch...mmm

GREAT DANE

So I'm assuming everyone has read February Vogue? I mean, what else does one do at the beginning of the month? I actually liked the cover image of Victoria Beckham (hey, I'm a child of the 90s, Posh Spice is practically in my blood), and it's such a change from her 2007 cover where she's looking her usual fierce self. In this issue, she looks pretty and natural, and her interview is actually interesting, it's amazing how well her new line is doing so quickly. My favourite part of this issue though was for sure the new trend shoot with none other than my favourite danish pastry, Freja Beha Erichson. It is very possible indeed that she is the coolest person in the world. She's one of the most versatile models out there I think. She can do the whole girly, innocent, feminine, sophisticated, youthful, pretty-pretty thing, but is INSANITY at the hard, rock'n'roll, edgy, 'I've got like 50 tattoos', grrr type thing as well. I'm not going to show you her shoot from February Vogue, wouldn't want to ruin the surprise if anyone hasn't read it bien sur, so here a few of my favourites:

GEMMA.

Whatever has happened to Gemma Ward? Ok, I don't actually know why I said that because I know she's left the modelling world to become an actress. But still. She was an amazing model: just so pretty, with that chilled Australian beach-bum attitude to top it off. Some of my favourite editorials have been with Gemma, like the 'Girl from Oz' shoot from Vogue UK in July '06. The one where she's surfing in a paddling pool and eating watermelon with her twin brothers? I meaaaaaan, insanely cool. Well, she's gone now, and it's unlikely she'll be back I think. I did a bit of research into her new acting career and watched a trailer for 'The Strangers', in which she stars as some kind of torturing, murdering psycho, (I think she does anyway, the trailer was so scary I had to stop it half way through...), but for most of the film it looks as though she has a bag over her head! WHAT A WASTE! Don't the film company know who she is?! Ridiculous. Anyway, here are some of my favourite Gemmas:
