GREAT DANE

So I'm assuming everyone has read February Vogue? I mean, what else does one do at the beginning of the month? I actually liked the cover image of Victoria Beckham (hey, I'm a child of the 90s, Posh Spice is practically in my blood), and it's such a change from her 2007 cover where she's looking her usual fierce self. In this issue, she looks pretty and natural, and her interview is actually interesting, it's amazing how well her new line is doing so quickly. My favourite part of this issue though was for sure the new trend shoot with none other than my favourite danish pastry, Freja Beha Erichson. It is very possible indeed that she is the coolest person in the world. She's one of the most versatile models out there I think. She can do the whole girly, innocent, feminine, sophisticated, youthful, pretty-pretty thing, but is INSANITY at the hard, rock'n'roll, edgy, 'I've got like 50 tattoos', grrr type thing as well. I'm not going to show you her shoot from February Vogue, wouldn't want to ruin the surprise if anyone hasn't read it bien sur, so here a few of my favourites:

DIAMONDS IN THE DARK

A few days ago, I strolled up New Bond Street at night. Despite the hundreds of people milling around and the freezing temperatures, I wandered slowly up the street, gazing into the windows of Cartier, Tiffany's and Asprey. It was only then that I felt the first excitements of Christmas. Because, let's face it, nothing says Christmas like the shimmer of freshly fallen snow, and the sparkle of expensive diamonds....

MEMORIES OF SUMMER

Last summer, I stayed with one of my best friends, Char, in her house in Port Grimaud near St Tropez. It was the most perfect, chilled holiday. Days were spent lying on the balcony in the sun, smoking way too many cigarettes, drinking Ice Tropez, reading, watching Two of a Kind (don't ask...), and having midnight swims in the sea followed by moon-bathing (again, don't ask). My first ever venture into St Tropez was equally exciting, and everything I thought it would be. Crammed full of super-yachts, couples dressed entirely in Vuitton, Hermes and Chanel strolling along the harbour-front: people-watching perfection. One night out involved drinks on a stranger's super-yacht, followed by a table at VIP room, and watching the sun rise over St Tropez whilst lying on the deck of the enormous yacht. Sufficed to say, it was one of the best nights of my life. Anyway, whilst shivering away at my desk, I cannot help but think back to the 40 degree heat of the South of France, which brings me to the incredible Chanel Cruise show that took place along the harbour. Truly a show that will go down in history. Iconic in every way possible. No words.

BABY ZOE.

I die. If I had a baby I'd dress it in Chanel too.
